About Us
The Bonito Volunteer Firefighters Support Fund (BVFSF) is a newly formed 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting the Bonito Volunteer Fire Department (BVFD). These courageous volunteers respond to emergencies day and night—often leaving their own families to protect ours.
In the past two years, BVFD has responded to over 330 emergency calls, including those to the devastating McBride and South Fork fires.
Why Your Support Matters
While basic operating expenses are covered by the New Mexico State Fire Marshal’s Office, many critical needs are not. Your donations will help:
Fund capital expenditures not covered by state funds
Improve the Bonito Fire District’s ISO rating (which could lower local insurance premiums)
Provide essential tools, equipment, and infrastructure
Keep our homes, families, and land safer
